The inauguration of President Joe Biden was a “very strange event,” according to President of the Centre of the American Experiment John Hinderaker. It comes after Mr Biden was sworn in as the 46th president of the United States, making him the oldest person to ever assume the presidency. “Washington was almost a ghost town, there was hardly anybody there for it,” Mr Hinderaker told Sky News host Rowan Dean. “Except for tens of thousands of soldiers lining the streets.” Mr Hinderaker said he doesn’t know anybody who “watched or listened to Biden’s inauguration speech”. “It was just a very strange event,” he said. “The soldiers are still there, they’re talking about having that military presence on the streets of Washington into March.”
